Jared came from average parents. Very, very average parents. Parents so average they were embarassing, in Jared's personal opinion. They certainly haven't helped with his fame. Hockey is the main outlet for most, if not all of Jared's fame (though he's done a smidge of acting and modelling on the side, though he's still trying to forget the modelling part, it's not really him) comes from. Officially, he is the first player under 18 ever accepted into the NHL, it's true, he's really that good. Making millions a year as a first year rookie, it's no big surprise that school's tough for him at times, having to go back and forth for games all throughout North America. Now he can't really complain, he makes alot of cash.
Appearance:
Combining Jared's height and build it's easy to say that he's a pretty big guy. Despite his size he's not really threatening or scary, though he's built it's not the muscles ripping out of your shirt kind of built, but the attractice kind. Speaking of attractive, that is what Jared was and everybody knows it. Especially him. Perfect, almost always acne free skin, defined face, unflawed it seems. Hair style is versatile, he has enough hair to do just about anything with it and prefers to keep it long. Blue green eyes are set picture perfectly into his face, having a dog like quality to them. Jared can throw his eyes as he wants to, though for the most part he looks content. The easiest way to tell that Jared is doing fine is to check for the sparkle in his eyes, if it's there, everything is fine. If it's not, somethings seriously wrong. Dental work and an effective mouth guard has led to an almost perfect smile, usually most hockey players lose there teeth but Jared's too cautious for that. A pretty boy without trying, that's on of Jared's many gifts.
Avatar:
Jared Padalecki
Height:
6'4"
Hair Color:
Brown to Dark Brown to Black. Depending on the season, the light. Etc, etc.
Eye Color:
Blue-green, seems to vary between the two shades.
Build:
Jock, in every detail. Standing tall usually means your long and lean, but when it comes to Jared, there's no bean pole look involved. Sporting muscles, enough muscles to play his sport and not enough to weigh him down, it's clear that Jared is extremely physically fit. Especially strong in the arms.
Clothing Style:
Comfortable, casual but all the same in style. Preppy is one way to describe it at times, but he really can't seem to keep a set mind set about what he's wearing. Usually he's happy to wear his 'jock jacket' and jeans, though on rare occasions he'll dress up he won't stretch to anything that makes him feel uncomfortable. Aka: Ties. He just won't go there. In order to keep up with the popular crowd his main attire consists of jeans, polos, hoodies, shorts (at times), cargo pants, khakis, crewnecks, button up collared shirts, fleece, henleys. Brand names are easy to pick out and with Jared it's simple: Abercrombie and Fitch. Baggy anything doesn't seem to be his style, though he's not one to go for tight clothes he's definetly showing off his assets. Because, hey, if you've got it, flaunt it.
Other:
Possessions:
The Hockey Stick Graveyard
So named, for the large mass of broken or retired hockey sticks piled into it's mass. The pile is in the back yard of his families home, a full 6 feet high. This is where he gets his game memories from.
Trophies:
Naturally, there are alot of them. They line the mantle piece and three shelves on his bedroom wall.
Dog:
Rocky, the family pet, is more Jared's dog then anybody elses for obvious reasons. He treats that animal like a human, spoiling it beyond belief, taking it for walks, feeding it wet food instead of that nasty dry stuff... A boy and his dog, right?
Closet:
The closet itself is no real catch, but the mounds of hockey gear and other memories piled inside are. Old skates, gloves, socks, shoulder pads... Everything since he first started playing at age 6 is all stocked up in there. Washed.
Personality:
Simply too darn perfect.
That's how parents describe him, teachers, family, friends. Everybody seems to think that Jared is perfect and he's not going to disagree with them. If that really is the case, he'll gladly be the first walking, talking, breathing perfection on earth. With his sometimes cocky attitude it's easy to see him pulling that off. Mothers love him, Fathers know him and girls, well, they tend to do more then love him. Jared is often desirable to females simply because he really is a good guy. Never in a million years would he dream of cheating on anybody, he's a sweetheart deep down when it comes to romance and is willing to sweep a girl off her feet, give her everything she could ever want.
Sports has been a big part of Jared's background, he says alot of his very positive attributes come from his participation in sports, such as hockey. Sportsmanship is a big thing for Jared, anybody who breaks the rules of the game are immediatley on his enemy list, being on Jared's enemy list isn't a good thing. Though he's pretty much perfect, he can really hold a mean grudge. Piss Jared off and you'll never live it down, thought that's not an easy thing to do. Unless Jared has a direct reason for hating somebody he'll never jump to conclusions, especially based on appearance. Working as a team is also very easy for Jared and in fact he works alot better with others.
Being alone is something that Jared has a literal fear of. Whether it be just for a few hours or a few days, anywhere where there is no human life isn't somewhere he wants to be. So far in life that hasn't been too much of a problem, it's an easy fear to get by when your a guy like him. Well liked by everybody. There's never been a problem with him getting somebody to hang out with. Another thing to look forward to when hanging around Jared is his wicked sense of humor, never harmful but always surprisingly funny.
Very determined, Jared can be stubborn when he needs to be. If things don't get finished he gets aggravated. He's the never give up type, he'll keep trying and trying until he gets it, literally. Even if it's impossible, unless somebody forces him out of it. Jared is a good, strong leader and enjoys being in charge when it's his turn to be, but when the time comes for him to shut up and contribute to a group he does so (though he often finds it hard not to voice his opinions, which are usually very helpful).
Though the rest of Jared's personality fits the jock stereotype, his intelligence really seems to sway from the line. He's considerably intelligent, even in a few advanced classes. Hard working and dedicated, the only reason he's not getting straight A's is a lack of time due to his pursuit in hockey. It's no doubt that if Jared wants a hockey scholarship, he'll get it. Schools are already begging for him to join with them and Jared's just waiting for the right offer.
Jared is popular for alot of reasons. Not only because he's rich and good looking, but he has a golden personality, too. Accepting of everybody until he has further reason not to be, makes him a person that everybody wants to hang out with. Where ARE the flaws in this guy? Only time will tell, because everybody has flaws.
Jared's flaw might be that he's just too perfect. Some people are frustrated by the fact that it's almost impossible to beat Jared and it's also impossible to be mad at him because he seems to have a very cool and even temper. Being so perfect is unhuman and often people accuse him of being fake, or being a 'Ken' or a 'clone'. Jared's personality isn't fake and he really can't help being, well, perfect?
People just get jealous.
History:
Under happy circumstances, on a sunny Sunday afternoon, Jared was born. He'd been planned completely, accepted by his parents as the beloved son and pampered for the first few months of his life. Adored by his family in general, Jared proved to be just as handsome a child as he was a cute baby. Toddler years sped by fast, always fascinated with both cars and of course, hockey. His Father was an avid watcher of the sport as as soon as Jared turned 5 he declared that he wanted to play too.
From the ages 5 to 6, Jared was taught how to skate, handle a stick and puck, shoot, pass and play defense. When he entered ice hockey at 6 he was already far ahead of the other children and he stayed far ahead of everybody since then, never losing his stride and gradually he actually seemed to gain more advantage on his team mates. At 7 he moved very quickly into rep hockey, but even that wasn't enough to keep him interested. Jared was too good a player, too dedicated and too much of a fighter to play amongst kids his own age.
Moved up into the next age level, Jared continued to excel. He was only 9 then, soon he was playing with 10 year olds and by the end of that year he was competing with 12 year old boys in rep hockey. With a set of very proud parents, a group of friends (many of them older, due to the fact he played with them on the teams) and a normal life, Jared was happy. For a few years he stayed 3 years ahead of his group, but when he turned 11 he needed to skip up yet another year, and then another. Despite his Mother's worried that 16 year old boys would be too rough on her son, Jared pulled through.
Beginning to date Willa Ford near the end of his Freshman year, there was an instant spark between the both of them. Since the first date there's been something there and since the years have gone on they've only gotten closer and closer. Intense feelings have grown between the two of them.
This is the pattern he continued until, last year at age 16, he was spotted playing with a group of college players and was immediatley picked out of the crowd. This was his big break, promised a spot in an NHL the following season. Once this news got out he was immediatley discovered for other talents as well, used in commercials, a bit of modelling and shortly after that 2 films (one hit it big in the box office). All of his new found wealth was of little comparison to finally reaching his lifes dream, the NHL.
This is where Jared stands now, as his feelings for Willa continue to grow on a daily basis. He wants to marry her, but at 17, is that even logical... Is that even legal? He's not sure, but he knows Willa is the one. Can he get up the guts to ask?

Once Seth was lost, Duc couldn't say he really had a family besides Linda. Dad wasn't really all that fatherly and understandably wasn't always there, he'd never met the rest of Seth's other family, either. If Seth was gone, Duc was just screwed family wise. Unless he went begging back to Mom, for forgiveness. She'd never let him hear the end of it, either, he was sure. How stupid he'd been. Maybe she was just his concious in action, seeing as it was pretty confident in it's ability to make him feel horrible. Which was all Mom was good for lately. "Don't worry about it, Linda. Really," Duc responded cooly at her comment.
Getting the whole story was starting to send less and less inviting. At first he'd had alot of drive to get the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Now he'd dropped the swearing on the bible crap and just wanted to hear the good stuff. He's going to be fine, or he'll be alright. Or even 'he's in a coma but we suspect he'll be out of it, there's a good chance' not some crazy bullshit from a doctor. Leaving Seth in this mans hands was not an option, he'd probably be too paranoid to even get any sleep to night with this guy taking care of his brother. Nodding to Garnet as she chose to go out to the car, he turned back to the doctor promptly. Being soaked in blood couldn't be pleasant or good for you and the last thing he wanted to happen was for Garnet to get sick too. More then that, he was trying to empty the room of as many people as he could, to try and duke it out with this doctor and get the loon to spit out whatever it was he had to say. Still giving the man a judging look as he stood, Duc chose to ignore everybody else in the room. Though he'd noticed Ryan's presence right away and knew he'd have to get over there sometime soon, take him off Sadie's hands so she could have her turn with Seth. That was the responsible thing to do. Take everything off her hands, even if he wanted to be the first one at Seth's side when his half brother woke up, saying 'I'm here man' without even opening his mouth.
Duc hadn't meant it as an insult, Seth probably did have a horrible taste in tattoos as far as Duc was concerned, but that was besides the point. Just joking around, even though he knew this wasn't the time he needed a little something to make this less horrible, to make this more bearable. Because right now he didn't know if he was even going to get through this conversation with the doctor, or if he was just too worried to stay calm and sane right now. What he'd wanted to do ever since he'd gotten to the hospital was lock himself up somewhere, alone. Alone wasn't anything familiar to Duc, he didn't do alone. Parties, one or two people at a time. But alone? Heck, he could hardly fall asleep when he was alone most of the time. He just couldn't stand it, but these were one of the times he wished he had it. You just don't want to think about the fact that you feel like crying. Even if he did (which of course he didn't, no matter what his concious said) he'd never admit it. Nobody expected him to admit it, either. Giving the doctor a 'dude, your insane' look, Duc shook his head. "Your unbelievable, you know that?" But there was doubt in his eyes, reasonable doubt, that said alot about what he was thinking. Deep down Duc knew there was something different about Seth. Something way different, more different then a bad tattoo. Claire was here backing him up now too, so he merely nodded in agreement with her on the subject. True. This guy had to be a nutter.
Just when Duc had been about to push the doctor out of the room and question him further, away from the girls, Dean and of course, Ryan- his kid, monitors started going off. Constant beeping that alerted Duc immediatley, making him take in a deep breath. Christ, was this bad or good? He didn't know, when Eric called down the nurses he could only assume that it was for the worse. But he'd been looking so good before, just 10 seconds before. Almost better, even. Staring back at Seth as the nurses guided them out to the waiting room, Duc stalled in the hall to make sure the entire group got out and they all headed in the same direction. Once they'd handed themselves in the waiting room, Duc took Ryan off Sadie's hands. Thank god they hadn't ended up with a baby who cried 24/7, Ryan tended to be pretty content at the best of times.
Sitting in that waiting room, silent and secluded for the three hours they were trying to stabilize Seth, Duc was almost unreachable. He didn't eat, he didn't move out of his seat. Sometimes it looked like he wasn't even breathing, until he shifted in his seat a bit. Not in the mood to talk, discussing feelings was just out of the question. All he was good for right now was being a stiff shoulder to lean on, but that was fine, that was good enough for him. When the nurse said they could go back in relief coursed through Duc's entire body and he let out a notable sigh of relief, letting out all the tension he'd stored up. Heading into Seth's room near the back of the crowd, Duc crossed his arms from the wall and stared down at Seth. Knowing the last thing his brother would want was a pity party (unless it was from a bunch of pretty girls). Was it really necessary to say anything? Seth had to know how he felt and if he asked, Duc would deny that he'd been watching over him this entire time.
